RECYCLE YOUR BRAS & DO GOOD

Did you know you can recycle bras? I did not - not until I started Brarista.

It’s a real thing, and we’re partnering with Against Breast Cancer — UK organisation that raises funds from the materials and metal used in bras for breast cancer research — to do just that.

HOW CAN YOU BRAS HELP?

In addition to recycling used bra materials, they also support small businesses in Africa by giving bras to developing countries where bras are too expensive to produce. By recycling your bra through Against Breast Cancer, bras are recovered before going into landfills and can be repurposed, which not only promote sustainability but also helps women in other countries.

If your bras are either brand new or gently used, we will handwash them to then donate them to refugee camps to help young girls and women in need.

WHERE TO DONATE?

We accept any bras - new to damaged and literally everything in between.

  • Anytime, you can drop/send your donation at/to Brarista, UCL Base KX, 103c Camley Street, N1C 4PF (by King's Cross station).

  • Once every month, you can see us in person at UCL Sustainable's SWAP SHOPS (dates can be found here). You can follow us on Instagram for updates too!

  • Our team is also mobile and can travel within the City, East Croydon, and Blackheath to help collect too. Just let us know!

Instead of letting your unused bras to go to a landfill, send them to us to make a difference!
